Boost heater for the Reversible heat pump |
For heat pump options a boost heater is available when re-heaters are not possible to use.
This heater is an electric heating-coil mounted between rotor exchanger and supply-air coil for heat pump.
Boost heater is configured in separate sequence SEQ-J External Heating/cooling capacity in sequence order after heat pump.
When the maximum capacity is limited (e.g., frost limitation on rotary exchanger, risk of low pressure etc.), the boost heater increase heats up the incoming air into the condensing coil (supply air coil on heat pump) and helps heat pump to reach the necessary supply air setpoint (normally 20°C) without a re-heater.
