Energy insight function for fan energy usage logging and monitoring of SFP.
Specific Fan Power (SFP) is a parameter that quantifies the electric power that is needed to drive a fan, relative to the airflow it creates.
The Access support calculation of the SFP for modbus controlled fans and variable frequency drives (VFDs). The data of power consumption is read directly from the fan or VFD.
It is possible to set power factor for each fan to compensate power losses in the VFD. If, for instance, power loss is 5 %, the power factor should be set to 1.05.
Total fan power is a sum of actual fan powers of all fans.
The calculation of SFP uses value of either supply or extract air flow depending on which one is greater.
The Access display actual SFP value as well as daily and monthly average. SFP for the average values is calculated only when the unit is running.
