Gas Evacuation Modes in Case of Refrigerant Leak
If a refrigerant leak is detected, the gas evacuation mode is automatically activated. Two evacuation strategies are available:
- Evacuation via Forced Ventilation Through the Building
In this mode, the ventilation system continues operating with airflow not lower than the defined minimum airflow threshold for gas evacuation. This ensures the refrigerant is diluted and expelled through the building’s ductwork. - Evacuation by Isolated Venting of the AHU Chambers
In this mode, an additional gas evacuation chamber is used to isolate the air handling unit (AHU) from the building’s ducting system. Fresh air is supplied directly to the AHU chambers to purge the refrigerant without affecting the building’s internal air system.
